CBD + HEMP Pop-Up, Oh What A Night…
As part of our mission to educate and elevate consumers on all things Cannabis (with an emphasis on Hemp), we’ve aligned with Hiptique in Santa Monica launching our very first pop-up on Friday, Nov. 30th. We celebrated with a night of shopping, drinking CBD infused coffee from Mary Joe, Ziobaffa Wines, CBD Living Water and CBD infused chocolates from our favorite chocolatier Calivolve. The most exciting part of the night was joining in on the conversation around CBD with Lawrence Hudson, Dr. Kerklaan and Summer Brock, The Good Patch answering questions from “what is CBD” to “what consumers should be aware of when buying CBD” moderated by our very own Creative/Content Director Megan Villa.
The goal was to create a beautiful space for consumers to discover the range of products cannabis has to offer from beauty to wellness. A carefully curated assortment of brands “weeding” (pun intended) the many new emerging brands and companies that are focused on quality, responsibly sourced, authentic CBD and Hemp products. Consumers can also touch, test and ask questions from trained staff as not everyone wants to shop in a dispensary. With the confusion surrounding cannabis, it was important to create that first hand experience with consumers that you can’t get online.
We delayed the initial launch of the Pop-Up after the damaging fires in Malibu where Christine Berardi, owner of Hiptique Santa Monica / Malibu, focused her efforts on fundraising for the many displaced families that lost everything. While Malibu rebuilds their community, we focused on the Santa Monica launch. The decor has a ‘touch of hemp’ from our customized wallpaper from Rachael Ryan Lacy to adding the natural plant dyed hemp sail on a vintage sailboat Christine purchased years ago.
Working with Hiptique Stores are not only beautiful lifestyle stores but already have a loyal connection and trust with their customers which is the ideal environment to talk about cannabis. Equally exciting to the assortment are the Retail staff that spent a day of training. We were graced by founder, Hemp farmer and modern day badass Christie Tarleton from Yuyo Botanics who flew in just for the in-store training. During training, they were enthusiastic to taste, test, ask and learn about the many benefits cannabis has to offer. Training included basic definitions, responsible sourcing, commonly asked questions, clearing up any misunderstandings, product features and benefits.
The Pop-Up is going to be up through the New Year so please be sure to visit the space if you’re in the Los Angeles area!
